Support Assistant

KS1 & KS2

Hours: 9:15am – 3:00 pm
(5 ¼  hours per day, 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Pay: £13.50 per hour

We are seeking a calm, compassionate, committed and reliable Support Assistant to join our therapeutic alternative provision, supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a range of special educational needs, including SEND and SEMH.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that relationships come first. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learners’ emotional wellbeing, regulation and sense of safety, enabling them to engage positively during their time with us.

Our provision offers a nurturing, low-arousal environment where children are supported to feel understood, valued and successful.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable and proactive, able to respond effectively to the individual needs of our learners. You will be confident providing targeted support and managing behaviours on a 1:1 basis. A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities is essential, with the ability to respond to concerns in a professional and timely manner.
